2 venison steaks-1

1 1/2 tablespoons butter

1/8 teaspoon savory

Instructions: Fry meat over medium heat for 5 minutes each side. Sprinkle a little savory on the steaks as they fry. Remove steaks to platter. Pour mushroom sauce into fry pan, scrape bottom & sides to loosen meat tidbits and deglaze the skillet. Spoon sauce over steaks and serve.

SAUCE: In pan, fry mushrooms, for 5 minutes in butter, add cooking wine and turn heat to high. Reduce liquid to half; and add salt and pepper. (I put the can of mushrooms, butter and cooking wine in a small saucepan; bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, I remove the steaks from skillet add the wine sauce, scrap bottom of skillet; add steaks back to skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes.)
